Seeing as I like the hip hop and tend to listen more to the melody and beats of the song rather than the lyrics that the “hip hop man/woman” “spits” out, I found this website particularly interesting. Especially since even when I do know and listen to the lyrics I still many times do not catch the metaphors, similes, word play, and general meaning of the song. Of course this applies to songs with more depth, rather than fun or easy to understand songs “hip hopping” about the 3W’s: Women, Weed…. and Winchell’s. I’m not sure about the last hip hop “W”.

This feeling of wellness last for a while. The last two years a couple health conditions have been bothering me affecting my energy, school work, job, and confidence. Which then all contribute to affecting me socially, and many times cognitively. Though I think that it is something that I let bother me because I believe that, at least in with my situation, it is something I can ignore or at least not let it affect me in different aspects of my life. I believe regardless it will affect me but I feel that it definitely got the better of me.

Compared to the rest of year, and since summer has started, I’ve been feeling much healthier. I’m hoping it is not due to the weather, which would indicate that this is only temporary, but due to different (I’m going to be vague) things I’ve been using to maintain a healthy well being.

I havent really hung out with anyone for a while and as a result it seems that my social skills and general interactions are a bit off. I think I need to stop thinking and unnecessarily caring. That’ll do it. That’ll get me back in the game. Yeah!

On a side note. Looking for another job. AND leaving this Friday for Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, and also, what I’m looking forward too…. Beufort, South Carolina! I’m gonna act so hillybilly racist. Just gonna let it all out. Let it all hang out for everyone to see, hear, and smell. Everyone is gonna know how large my racism is. I’m gonna stick my bigotry to everyone I see. People over there are gonna know the definition of unfairness when they see my racism…

Does everyone see where I’m gettin at? Can I stop now?

Last quarter took a club management class, as in a private/country club, not a dance or animal club. Common mistake. Many private clubs produce newsletters every month or so for their members to keep them up to date on any recent news, upcoming events, and/or comments that any of the management staff would like to make such as the General Manager, Chef, or Clubhouse Manager . So our project was to create a newsletter. AND we can make however we like.

Meaning… be creative. Do whatever you want for this newsletter, it doesnt really matter, as long as it is in a newsletter format with some other basic instructions. And I got really excited when I heard this for some reason.

Right away I already had a few ideas.

1. 1930s-1940s newsletter. The club only has the most famous celebrities of the 1930s-1940s and would be set in the 1940s. Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Humphrey Bogart, Bettie Davis, Katherine Hephburn.

2. I forget the other ideas.

I decided to go with a “President’s Club”. All the U.S. Presidents, from Washington to Obama, are part of the club and are either members and/or management staff. And because I wanted it to be good, I did a lot of unnecessary research about Presidents to decide which ones I wanted on staff and other unneeded detailed facts.

I did like how the project turned out. Because I paid to much attention to unnecessary details, I disregarded other instructions to format the newsletter. Such as what kind of boots/shoes are allowed and not allowed to play on the basketball court in the club. Because many of them do not know what basketball is (Washington, Adams, Jefferson) and some of them wear old timey boots, like Wellington Boots, which is CLEARLY unsuited for playing basketball. Their gonna damage the court! And not to mention their foot wear and feet!

After the project I’ve recently become really interested in U.S Presidents and just history in general. I came across this great website containing a bunch of history lectures. I know it sounds really really boring. BUT they have one really really interesting lectures about…..

PIRATES!

Its kinda cool. Just fyi. SOoo if anyone is ever in the mood for a 50 min lecture on “Atlantic Pirates in the Golden Age”… or any kind of history lecture, this will satisfy your silly craving.

This is probably a phase. I’ll probably be over history by years end =)
